What We're all about

The purpose of the Club is to unite its members in an effective organization dedicated to community service. We have a "Blessings from the Basement" service for those in need of furniture and household items. Lightly used items can be donated also.  The club also donates money and supplies to many organizations in need. We donated books to the West Virginia University  Children’s Hospital. The Club donated food for the Blessing Boxes in Fairmont several times. Some of our clubwomen belong on the Boards of organizations in the community. We rent our clubhouse for community events, bridal showers, baby showers, business meetings and small weddings.  The clubhouse is available to rent for business meetings at $100 plus tax for two hours with drinks furnished. WIFI is available.

Calling women, ages 18 and older, to come join our Woman's Club! We are recruiting younger women who love to volunteer and help their community. We have set up a junior department and they meet the second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. We contribute to our community with our current projects: Blessings from the Basement where donations are given to those in need, collecting books and school supplies for local children, collecting clothing and cleaning supplies for local organizations, collecting items for Christmas stockings, helping with American Legion Auxiliary Rhododendron Girls State, and other projects. Our meetings are the fourth Monday of each month at 6 p.m. Please message our Facebook page if you are interested.

A Collect for Clubwomen

Keep us, oh God, from pettiness;

Let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.

Let us be done with fault-finding

And leave off self-seeking.

May we put away all pretense

And meet each other

face to face,

Without self-pity and without prejudice.

May we never be hasty in judgment

And always generous.

Let us to take time for all things;

Make us to grow calm, serene, gentle.

Teach us to put into action our better impulses,

Straightforward and unafraid.

Grant that we may realize it is

The little things that create differences,

That in the big things of life we are at one.

And may we strive to touch and to know

The great, common human heart of us all.

And, oh Lord God, let us forget not

To be kind!

Junior Pledge

I pledge my loyalty to the Junior Clubwomen
By doing better than ever before what work I have to do,
By being prompt, honest, courteous,
By living each day, trying to accomplish something,

Not merely to exist.
